Update ios to latest version

Tap the Settings icon

Tap "General"

Tap "Software Update"

If you get a message that says your software is up to date, you have completed this step.

Otherwise, you will be presented with an option to "Download and Install" or "Install". Tap the install option and follow the prompts.

You may be instructed to connect your iPad to a power source. Be prepared to do so.

It may take 30-40 minutes for the software to complete the upgrade process (or at least seem like it).

Confirm your ipad software level

In the Settings app, tap "General" in the left hand pane

In the right hand panel, tap "About"

The following lines may be of interest:

Capacity - How much of your information your iPad can hold

Available - How much room is available on your iPad

Version - Should be a minimum of 11.0.1 (A version number lower than 10.3.1 means you can't login to the classroom)

You can update your name and picture which identifies you on your iPad.

In the Settings app, tap the name at the top of the iPad

To set or change the picture, touch the round circle at the top of the right hand pane.

To set or change the name, tap the line "Name, Phone Numbers, Email"

To see more information about your iPad, tap the line "This iPad"
